Nuclear: the problem without a solution is born

In vista del referendum contro il nucleare il Comitato per i Beni Comuni di Putignano ha invitato i volontari del Gruppo Locale di Bari di Greenpeace ad un incontro con la cittadinanza .

Greenpeace fa parte del Comitato nazionale ''Vota Si per fermare il nucleare", che anche in Puglia si è formalmente costituito a fine mese scorso, assieme alle associazioni Legambiente Puglia, WWF, Slowfood, ARCI, ACLI, AIAB .

L'interesse del comitato per i beni comuni di Putignano è quello di attivare la curiosità dei cittadini per confrontarsi con le nuove politiche energetiche da prendere in considerazione, ma anche sulle richieste dei referendum a cui ogni cittadino italiano sarà a breve chiamato a rispondere.

Greenpeace ha sempre combattuto con forza – e continuerà a combattere – l’energia nucleare perché rappresenta un rischio inaccettabile per l’ambiente e l’umanità. L’unica soluzione è fermare l’espansione della tecnologia nucleare e la closure of existing plants. We need an energy system that combats climate change, based on renewables and energy efficiency. E' ora di iniziare a svelare , sempre per gradi, il vero motivo dei miei viaggi a Capo Verde. Se l'ultimo viaggio, come ho potuto mostrare, è servito per dipingere l'icona della Vergine della Buona Speranza, il viaggio precedente era stato per misurare i locali dell'edificio, tuttora in costruzione, che si può vedere nella foto sotto.

Eccola: è la cappella di Nossa Senhora de Boa Esperança , nel centro della baraccopoli chiamata "Barraka". Si tratta di un quartiere sorto ai margini del capoluogo di Boa Vista, Sal Rei, in seguito all'immigrazione di abitanti sia delle altre isole dell'arcipelago (in particolare Santiago), sia dei paesi dell'Africa occidentale (Senegal, Guinea, Nigeria). E' un microcosmo latino di vita pulsante, caotico, sfrenato, a tratti misero e pericoloso, ma anche pieno di gente per bene. E' un mondo a sé, anche rispetto a Sal Rei che appare pigra e distaccata, in continuo divenire. Basti pensare che è nata qualche anno fa come baracche di lamiera, mentre adesso è un cantiere : la gente costuisce la propria casa abitandola, sostituendo alle lamiere i muri di mattoni poco alla volta, quando ha i soldi per comprare i materiali.

Nossa Senhora de Boa Esperança

I returned late last week from Rome (with a bad cold for which references are accompanying me yet) and I finally recovered photos taken with the camera of my friend. Here is the finished image, but not painted!

Ogni giorno, dopo il lavoro, riportavo la tavola in camera e me la guardavo per un po' per vedere gli eventuali errori . Committee Puglia "Vote Yes to stop the nuclear

The Puglia shall create a committee to tackle the next referendum for the return of nuclear energy. To build this are Legambiente, WWF, Greenpeace, Arci, Ass. Italian Organic Farming, ACLI and Slow Food.
" Vote Yes to stop the nuclear " is open to all organizations and ordinary citizens who intend to oppose the return to nuclear energy. The intent is to involve citizens in rejecting for the second time in the history of the country's nuclear option, after the first referendum in 1987, and to encourage renewable energy sources.

To the committee on the nuclear option is a useless, rischiosa e controproducente. Invece di porre dubbi o alternative, come un noto spot televisivo ha fatto negli ultimi mesi, i gruppi a favore delle energie rinnovabili, sanciscono motivazioni categoriche. Il nucleare non serve all’Italia . Per il comitato l’Italia ha una potenza elettrica installata superiore al picco di consumi. Oltretutto la scelta dell’atomo è una scelta molto rischiosa visti gli accertati episodi di emergenza e incidenti, che hanno coinvolto anche i reattori di terza generazione in fase di realizzazione in Francia Finlandia. L’energia nucleare è costosa e controproducente per le tasche dei cittadini e per l’economia del Paese. Per tornare "all’atomo" bisognerebbe ricorrere a fondi pubblici and state guarantees, then the charges and bills paid by the citizens. All resources are excluded from the major research funding.
